Since Liam was so early he spent some time in the Special Nursery (a step down from the NICU) so that they could track his weight gain, lung development and eating abilities. This was home for Liam for 8 days before he came home.
He needed to eat every 3 hours so we spent every day at the hospital doing a lot of this
and this.
Two weeks ago Liam got to come home in his big boy car seat and waved goodbye to all the kind nurses in the Special Nursery.
We were so lucky to have our moms in town to help us out during the first couple of weeks.
and now we're enjoying trying to figure out parenting on our own.
Liam left the hospital at 4 lbs. 9 oz and now he's over 6 lbs. We're loving having him home and are so grateful for everyone's help. Thank you, thank you so much for all that you did.

he is amazing! you can tell just from the pictures what an amazing kid he is going to grow up to be. what a lucky boy to have two of the greatest parents in the world. I can't wait to meet him! sending lots of love your way!

I love little Liam already. He probably needs to have a trip to the big city. I have all sorts of fun things planned for him to do.
Congratulations Matt and Megan! I am so glad to hear little Liam got to go home from the hospital so quickly (even though I know it didn't feel quickly). It definitely reminds me of bringing Blake home. You never forget that day. He is a cute one!
