On Saturday Matt got up bright and early to go buy some new basketball shoes for a a church basketball game he had that day (an omen of things to come that day). I went and watched him and then went and worked out before we met up with his parents who were in town this weekend. About a half hour later I got a call from Matt saying he sprained his ankle and he wanted me to pick him up. I was thinking oh come on, sprains aren't that bad, walk home!
Yesterday we went to the doctor and he said that Matt tore some tendons and we'll have to wait and see if he needs surgery or not. I've learned two things from this experience. First, I'm not ready for kids. I never realized how much somebody relies on you when they can't do things for themselves. I'm tired and he's a grown man! Second, I need to believe Matt when he tells me he really hurt something and not call him a cry baby. Sorry Matt.

this is awful. especially after all the baby jokes bret was dishing out to matt last weekend.
I didn't know babies could sprain their ankles.
I was surprised too, Jordan. However, I found this link that proves that babies can, in fact, get sprained ankles.
